MobilitySure, a recently launched mobility showroom near Blackpool, continues to go from strength-to-strength despite tough times for retailers thanks to the new, innovative Minimo mobility scooter from TGA.
Guy and Anita Jenkinson established MobilitySure in Poulton-le-Flyde during March 2013. Both Guy and Anita are well known and respected in the local area as they were previous managers of Rawcliffe Hall Caravan Park and Country Club and a highly successful French catering outlet. Two years ago they started to search for a new commercial challenge and decided to set up a retail business that would support the local community. As the Lancashire region has an ageing population, the provision of mobility equipment seemed ideal. They spent several months researching the sector to find proven and trusted suppliers and concluded TGA was the leading brand for mobility scooters. Since introducing the TGA range of cutting edge scooters alongside their comprehensive selection of independent living aids, MobilitySure has managed to grow quickly and establish itself as a leading local specialist. The new pioneering, foldable Minimo mobility scooter from TGA has added to this success and ‘re-kindled Guy passion for selling.’
Guy explains: “We have been involved with businesses in the local area for nearly 20 years and are really enjoying our latest venture. It was always our aim to provide a service that gives something back to the community over and above selling products. Our range of TGA scooters will now help people regain their independence outdoors with the peace of mind that comes with choosing a proven, reliable brand. The new Minimo that TGA has just launched is a really cracking compact scooter that folds and fits into the boot of a car. This means people with restricted mobility can have freedom further afield when out for the day which not only assists users, but also helps family members too. It has an optional lithium battery that is so lightweight that lifting and storing the Minimo couldn’t be easier. Stocking other TGA models such as the Vita and Breeze has definitely helped our business get off the ground. TGA only supply products that are far better than competitors with design that’s one step ahead. Financing the launch of MobilitySure wasn’t easy despite our superb credit rating and reputation as banks are still reluctant to lend even after all the government initiatives. Having TGA onboard has given us the peace of mind that we have products that sell well and that our business will continue to grow.”
Guy continues: “We have always been passionate about looking after our customers. We thrive on spending time with them and chatting things through, as I think this is even more important these days with the Internet being so impersonal. Only by actively listening to customers during a conversation, can a retailer truly understand what is needed to improve a person’s lifestyle. Despite being so cutting edge, the new Minimo retrospectively reminds us of products from the ‘good old days’ that were built well, designed with real thought and use robust, strong parts. Seeing customers regain their independence on a Minimo is priceless to us and has definitely got us fired up! The 700sqft MobilitySure showroom stocks quality mobility product that are supported by professional advice and guidance. Guy and Anita work with an Occupational Therapist so that the correct product is always recommended to meet individual customer and they have a highly skilled engineer onsite for repairs and servicing.
