Anyone who receives a voucher can now visit our store and purchase a suitable wheelchair with the correct specifications.

We are pleased to announce at MobilitySure that on Thursday 11th July from 2 pm to 4 pm, an exclusive demonstration of the brand new TGA Minimo will take place here in store. You’ll have the opportunity to be one of the first in Lancashire and the North West to view this latest design of a super lightweight, foldable scooter currently available on the market.
Working along side us will be our TGA representative, Gareth Allmark who will be delighted to answer any questions you may have. Visitors will have the chance to test drive the scooter allowing them to have first hand experience on how it operates. To help the day along home made cakes, teas, coffees and wine will be provided.
Orders placed on the day for the Minimo will receive 12 months free insurance.

A very welcome consideration for the carer. We are all only too aware of the care and support required for any person who suffers from a disabling condition. Therefore a wide range of wheelchairs including power pack units from our Roma Medical, TGA and Karma suppliers accommodate these requirements and are available at MobilitySure.
However, have you ever spared a thought for all the carers who selflessly give their daily dedicated services to loved ones. Not only does this take its toll emotionally, but obviously physically too. “How refreshing it is these days to come across a small family business who can not only match the larger companies in price, but who can offer a personal service second to none.
My 95 year old Mother recently purchased a mobility scooter from MobilitySure – a husband and wife run business in Poulton-le-Fylde.
Right from the start, I knew that she was in very safe and capable hands when I accompanied her to their shop on Blackpool Old Road. Unlike the large companies that advertise in National papers, there was no pressurised sales talk at any time. I noticed that the scooter recommended for my mother was the most practical for her needs and in no way was it one of the most expensive ones on display.
Within a couple of hours, the owner of the shop had visited my Mother at her home and demonstrated to us both how the scooter was assembled and had placed an order for a suitable ramp for her to gain access to her flat. Once again, the ramp was the most practical and not the most expensive, and one was left in its place until the lighter and shorter model arrived within a week.
Another thing that impressed me was the way that my Mother was advised, rather than coerced into taking out insurance of the machine. I also noticed that no money exchanged hands until the company owner was satisfied that my Mother was happy with her purchase. She was even visited a week after purchasing her scooter to check that all was well and was presented with a small, personal gift which my brother and I thought was a lovely touch as it made her feel very special.
I have no hesitation in recommending this small, family business to anyone and I think some of the big firms could do with taking a leaf out of their book.
This really is a case of small being beautiful.”

After visiting the Naidex exhibition at the NEC, Birmingham we are extremely excited at the launch of the new TGA Minimo (available July 2013). Although we have only been open since April 2013 we have, in fact made three visits to Naidex, the UK’s largest independent living event, of which two visits have been to the NEC, Birmingham and another to the Excel Arena, London.
We have found the events spectacular, greatly inspiring and full of innovative ideas. The mobility industry consists of an endless array of products ranging from smaller items such as Dycem non-slip mats, jar/bottle openers to larger items such as scooters, powerchairs, wheelchairs, lifts and specially adapted motor vehicles to name but a few. It really is endless and truly fascinating.
These exhibitions have been invaluable to us and have enabled us to access our suppliers, e.g. TGA – scooters, Roma Medical – scooters, powerchairs, wheelchairs and medical supplies, Freerider – scooters, Classic Canes – extensive range of beautifully handcrafted walking sticks and NRS – medical supplies.
